The argument

Reports are not a read.

Most owners already get reports. A P&L lands in the inbox, looks roughly plausible, and changes nothing about the week. That is bookkeeping as filing. The version worth paying for ends differently: a person who looked at the numbers tells you, in plain sentences, whether they can be trusted and what they are telling you to do. Production makes the numbers exist. Review makes them true. The read makes them useful. Most services sell the first step and call it the third.

Catch-up and cleanup at a fixed price, ending in The First Read. A lender, a CPA, or a tax extension is usually the reason this becomes urgent. The September 15 and October 15 deadlines are real ones.

Ongoing service is the Truth Layer: clean books, a close that lands by the 10th, and the monthly read, for a flat monthly fee. Most catch-up clients continue; none are required to.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers.

What is the monthly read?: One page, written by a person who looked at your numbers, saying what changed, what it means, and what to do about it. Reports show numbers. The read says what they mean. That difference is the product.
Who actually does the work?: Production is carried by the team: transaction coding, reconciliation, the standard integrity checks. Kyle reads, signs, and answers for the result. You always know whose name is on it.
Are you CPAs? Do you do taxes?: No. This is bookkeeping and an operating read, not tax preparation or audit work. We get the books clean and CPA-ready and work beside your tax preparer, not instead of them.
Do you only work with local businesses?: The practice is based in Duluth, Minnesota and works with businesses anywhere in the United States on QuickBooks Online. Local and remote get the same close and the same read.

My books are a mess. Do I need to fix anything first?: No cleanup first. Mess is normal; mess is data. Send what exists and we quote from there.
